Let’s start by saying that you absolutely do not need to go out and purchase any new photography equipment to learn on this course – we’ve had students use an iPhone or $200 point-and-shoot camera and we’ve had students with a $15k set up.

We’ll teach you the skills regardless of the camera set up that you have, and even if you don’t have a manual camera you’ll have a chance to see how they work, and how you can adjust the settings etc.

That said, we know that many of you would like advice on gear that you are already thinking about purchasing or are just curious about the different tools you see ‘in the field’ so this guide will help explain what the various options are.

The main thing that we do recommend for anyone shooting on an actual camera rather than a phone, is that you have a reliable SD card and external hard-drive.

This is an overall guide, but if you have any specific questions or want tailored advice just send us a message and Emilio can jump on a call with you.
